Orebody knowledge is a critical framework to underpin the mining value chain. At ALS Global, our integrated Mine Site Services and Geoanalytics teams specialize in machine learning solutions for geoscience, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver rapid, high-resolution insights that drive informed decision-making.
Our innovative approach combines two key advancements: a) rapid hardness testing (e.g. HIT test) and b) predictive mineralogy based on geochemical data. By deploying fast, efficient hardness testing methods onsite, we significantly expand the number of data points available for analysis. This increased spatial resolution enhances the understanding of material variability, empowering engineers and geologists to develop more accurate geotechnical models for ore body characterization.
Complementing this, our machine learning models predict mineralogical compositions directly from geochemical datasets, providing timely insights that inform processing strategies.
