KAZRC Codex Successful Implementation of Integration into the CRIRSCO Family
In 2016, Kazakhstan became the tenth member of CRIRSCO. Kazakhstan is represented in this Committee by the Association of Legal Entities "KAZRC" and the Public Organization "Professional Association of Independent Subsoil Experts PONEN". In 2017, the KAZRC Code was reflected in the Code on Subsoil and Subsoil Use.
Since 2019, reports prepared by PONEN Competent Persons began to be submitted to the Geology Committee in accordance with the KAZRC Code. In order to improve the quality of the submitted reports, since the end of 2021, PONEN has introduced a readership procedure for all reports submitted to the Geology Committee, in 2022, Methodological Recommendations for the Preparation of KAZRC Reports were developed, and since 2023, an accreditation procedure for Competent Persons has been introduced. Since 01.01.2024, the KAZRC Code has become mandatory for reporting on all exploration licenses and Subsoil Use Contracts.
Taking into account the leading position of Kazakhstan in the implementation of international standards in the CIS, the ALE KAZRC and PONEN, on a volunteer basis, as consultants, participate in the promotion of geological services of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Armenia and Azerbaijan in the direction of CRIRSCO.
