Shunyu Yao is a senior analyst at S&P Global Commodity Insights. He has been with the Mine Economics team since 2019.
He is responsible for asset-level research on cost curves and emissions for a variety of commodities, including gold, copper, lithium, etc. Prior to joining S&P Global, he worked for two commodity consulting companies, mainly responsible for ferrous metals and energy research, and actively published research reports in major journals during the period.

Yao holds an MSc in Finance from Clark University.
