The possibilities of paleovalleys mapping using airborne geophysical complex EQUATOR

Hydrogenous paleovalley uranium is an important source of uranium in Russia. In 2024, airborne geophysical survey using EQUATOR complex was completed in the Dulesma and Tetrakh areas within the Khiagda ore field.

The experimental work demonstrated that electromagnetic sounding can be successfully used for mapping the surface of high-resistivity granite masses buried beneath low-resistivity sediments of Neogene-Quaternary age, as well as for determining permafrost thickness.
