Zhanar Faizuldayeva is a highly skilled Environmental and Social consultant with extensive experience in the mining sector and sustainable development. She has worked on a wide range of environmental assessment, due diligence, and mine closure projects across Kazakhstan and Central Asia, providing strategic guidance to align projects with good international industry practices and local regulatory requirements.
Zhanar has deep expertise in the application of key sustainability frameworks, including the Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards, and EBRD Performance Requirements. She has a proven track record of helping clients navigate complex environmental and social challenges, ensuring compliance with international lenders’ requirements, and fostering positive engagement with local communities.
As a consultant, Zhanar has contributed to training programs and capacity-building initiatives in environmental and social governance (ESG), mine reclamation, and liquidation planning for the mining sector in Kazakhstan. She has also played a key role in the development of mine closure regulations as part of Kazakhstan’s Subsoil and Subsoil Use Code, including delivering governmental capacity-building training programs to enhance understanding and implementation of these regulations.
