Kazakhstan has adopted the "Law on Science and Technology Policy" aimed at stimulating scientific and innovative activities. It establishes technology readiness levels for scientific research, strengthens the Science Fund's role in commercializing scientific developments, and introduces new mechanisms for funding scientific infrastructure and providing government support for science. The law is expected to create favourable conditions for the development of science and technology in the country, promote the production of science-intensive products, and enhance the competitiveness of Kazakhstan's economy.
